# Edit a block displayed on all pages of your website

## Identify why a block cannot be deleted or moved, and learn how to edit it when it has been added to your website footer.

When you are unable to delete or move a block that appears on all pages of your website, you may notice that the trash icon does not appear when hovering over the block in the CMS. In this case, the block has generally been added directly to the footer.

### **Delete a block**

In most cases, when a block appears on all pages and cannot be deleted directly, it means that it has been added to the website footer.

To delete the block:

1. Go to your event back office \> **Website \> Site content \> Website pages**
2. Edit the footer by clicking the small edit pencil icon.

### **Move the block**

If you want to move the block to another part of your website before deleting it, use the **Duplicate block** button.

Then, add a block as usual and click the **Paste block** button:

Once the block has been pasted, delete the original block from the footer as explained above.

Remember to save your changes by clicking the **Save** button in the top-right corner.
