To increase the use rate of the networking module of the website handled by inwink, the onboarding module allows the display of a pop-up for the first sign in of a user, inviting him to setup his networking profile and then to directly network.
1. Onboarding module overview
The onboarding module can only be seen by users who signed in and never authorized/denied networking. The user must:
- Be registered
- Sign in
- Never have authorized/denied networking in the user space
The onboarding module is divided into 4 steps:

Here are the details of the steps:
1. First step: the user is invited to participate in the networking. He can:
- Temporarily refuse by clicking on the cross at the top right of the window. The pop-up will appear again next time he will sign in.
- Definitely refuse by clicking on "I'm not interested". The Authorize networking field of the participant will switch to false in the back-office. The onboarding will never be proposed to him again. He will have to activate the networking himself in the participant space, given that he changes his mind.
- Accept the networking and start his profile setup. The Authorize networking field of the participant will then switch to true in the back-office.
2. Profile: the participant fills in the information of his profile. The form used is the update profile one in the participant space.
3. Interests: the participant chooses his interests.
4. Closing: the profile of the participant is updated. Once he clicked on Close he directly access the networking page of his participant space.
2. Onboarding configuration
Go to WEBSITE > Website Configuration and click on the configuration button in the Networking box to activate and configure the onboarding module:
A window appears. Activate the show onboarding for participants option and then click on the Set up onboarding wordings button:
⚠️ Once activated, the onboarding will directly be seen in the website’s live version.
It is possible to configure the text fields of every step of the onboarding in the different languages of the event.
First click on VALIDATE at the bottom right, then on SAVE on the top right once all texts are updated.
The onboarding is activated.
