Live Cockpit - via inwink Onsite

Monitor your on-site scanner activity at a glance, detect scanning errors, and stay in control of your sessions and checkpoints on event day.

⚠️ Prerequisites

The Live Cockpit feature is only available when using inwink Onsite and during your event (on event day).

👉 Data is displayed only when scans are actively performed via your Onsite devices.

🎛️ Live Cockpit (inwink Onsite)

📌 Description

Live Cockpit is a real-time monitoring dashboard available when using inwink Onsite.

It allows you to track scanner activity during your event and quickly ensure that:

  • scans are being properly performed
  • devices are working correctly
  • staff are scanning on the correct sessions

👉 A true day-of-event logistics control dashboard, helping you ensure that staff (hostesses/security) are scanning correctly, detect scan errors, and anticipate device issues (low battery, inactive device, etc.).

📍 Where to find Live Cockpit

⚙️ Requirements

To use Live Cockpit:

  • Your event must be ongoing
  • You must be using scanners (handheld devices or mobile with the Onsite app)

👉 No configuration is required.

🧭 How does Live Cockpit work?

The Live Cockpit displays a real-time report based on scanner activity.

📍 Checkpoints tab

The Checkpoints tab gathers all scan points of your event.

For each checkpoint, you can view:

  • the device name used for scanning
  • the scan activity
  • the device status

🔋 Battery indicator:

  • 🟠 Orange: battery below 40%
  • 🔴 Red: battery below 20%

👉 This helps you quickly anticipate device-related issues on-site.

🎤 Session Rooms tab

The Session Rooms tab lists all the rooms of your event.

Each room is displayed as a card showing:

  • time slots where scans are detected
  • recent scan activity
  • the name of the current session

🎨 Color code:

  • 🟢 Recent scan (less than 10 minutes ago)
  • 🟠 No scan for more than 10 minutes
  • 🔴 No scan for more than 20 minutes

👉 If no scan is performed for 2 hours, the information disappears.

👉 You can instantly identify active rooms and those that require attention.

👉 As soon as a scan is performed, it appears immediately in the dashboard.

📊 Displayed information

For each room / checkpoint, you can see:

  • the active scanner
  • the session currently being scanned
  • whether the scan is performed within the correct time slot
  • recent scan activity (via color codes)
  • device status (e.g. battery level)

⚠️ Smart alerts

Live Cockpit helps you detect on-site issues.

For example, an alert message appears if a device is scanning outside the correct time slot.

🔄 Data refresh

  • The dashboard does not refresh automatically
  • A “Refresh” button allows manual updates
  • The last refresh time is displayed

🏁 End of event

Once the event is over:

  • scanners appear in grey
  • no scan activity is expected

💡 Use cases

Live Cockpit is particularly useful to:

  • Monitor scan zones (checkpoints)
  • Track session activity
  • Ensure staff are using the correct time slots
  • Check that devices are working and charged
  • Manage your event remotely without moving around
