[Online sessions](https://help.inwink.com/events?hsLang=en#online-sessions) # Configure a Sparkup live session for your event sessions ## Configure your Sparkup live sessions from inwink and create a more interactive experience for your participants. inwink allows you to integrate Sparkup into your online sessions to deliver more interactive and engaging live experiences. From a session created in inwink, you can activate Sparkup and then access its configuration interface directly to customize your live session, manage your speakers, and prepare different interactive activities. --- ### **Prerequisites** To create a session with Sparkup, you need to have credits available. You can use your remaining credits to create Sparkup sessions. **inwink Live remains available:** the Sparkup integration complements the existing live solutions by allowing organizers to go further in terms of interactivity, participation, and live session customization. --- ### **Create an online Sparkup session in inwink** From your event back office, go to **Program \> All sessions**. Click the **"+"** button to create a new session. Then enter the main information for your session: - the **session title** - the **session type**: select **Online session** to use Sparkup - the **date** - the **start time** - the **session duration** (in minutes) ➡️ Once this information has been entered, the **"Activate Sparkup Session"** option becomes available and the button is no longer greyed out. ![](https://help.inwink.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Sep-28-2026-08-04-00-7724-AM.png?width=535&height=429&name=image-png-Sep-28-2026-08-04-00-7724-AM.png) After activating Sparkup, a message prompts you to **save the session and then reopen it** to access the Sparkup back office. ![](https://help.inwink.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Sep-28-2026-08-04-32-8849-AM.png?width=670&height=102&name=image-png-Sep-28-2026-08-04-32-8849-AM.png) Click **Save** for your session, then edit it again. --- ### **Access the Sparkup back office** Once you are back on your session, click the now available **"Access Sparkup back office"** button. ![](https://help.inwink.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Sep-28-2026-08-05-14-4822-AM.png?width=670&height=105&name=image-png-Sep-28-2026-08-05-14-4822-AM.png) Click it to open the Sparkup interface associated with your session, without leaving inwink. They allow you to prepare the appearance of your live session, your speakers, the content displayed, and the interactions offered to participants. #### **General tab – configure your live session settings** The **General** section displays the main information about your session, including: - the **session title** - the **estimated duration** — once the live session is over, the total duration of the live session - the **start date** - the **start time ![](https://help.inwink.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Sep-28-2026-08-22-19-4940-AM.png?width=670&height=324&name=image-png-Sep-28-2026-08-22-19-4940-AM.png) ** You can also choose which features will be available during the live session, such as live captions: ![](https://help.inwink.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Sep-28-2026-08-21-30-8152-AM.png?width=284&height=587&name=image-png-Sep-28-2026-08-21-30-8152-AM.png) Depending on your needs, you can enable or disable: - the **chat** - **live reactions** - **participant speaking** - features related to the **virtual audience** **![](https://help.inwink.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Sep-28-2026-08-22-46-6050-AM.png?width=343&height=534&name=image-png-Sep-28-2026-08-22-46-6050-AM.png)** These settings allow you to adapt the level of interactivity to the format of your event. You can define a specific visual identity for each Sparkup session directly from the Sparkup back office. If you prefer to use the same visual identity across all your Sparkup live sessions, you can create a dedicated **template session**. Configure your theme once in this session: colors, logo, background, tile style, banners, and so on. Then, from the template session page in the inwink back office, when editing the session, a button allows you **to reuse this theme as a reference for the other Sparkup sessions you create.** ![](https://help.inwink.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Sep-28-2026-08-31-35-4795-AM.png?width=670&height=392&name=image-png-Sep-28-2026-08-31-35-4795-AM.png) This saves you from having to configure the visual identity again for every new session while ensuring a consistent look and feel across all your live sessions. --- #### **Speakers tab – manage your speakers** The **Speakers** section allows you to prepare the people who will be speaking during the live session. From here, you can manage the different speakers who may appear on screen during the broadcast. Different statuses can be displayed: - **No status:** participant - **Backstage:** moderator - **On stage:** speaker You can also see the list of everyone currently connected to the live session. From this section, you can also remove someone from the live session or invite them to join the stage. --- #### **Banners – display information during the live session** The **Banners** section allows you to create graphical or text-based elements that can be displayed during the live session. You will then simply need to launch them at the appropriate time during the live session. They can also be **created directly during the session on the day of the event**, allowing you to adapt your facilitation in real time based on discussions and audience reactions. --- ### **Test your live session** As an organizer, you can **test your live session and run a rehearsal before going live.** To do this, go to the Sparkup back office, accessible from the inwink back office. Moderators and speakers can also access it from the session page once they are logged in with their profile. You can therefore run a **full rehearsal** and check how your live session will look under conditions that are very close to the real broadcast: speaker display, media, activities, banners, interactions, layout, and more. The result will be identical to what is displayed when you click **"Go live"**, except that the live session will not be accessible to participants. This allows you to prepare your session, check the different transitions, and make sure everything is ready before the event. --- ### **Host your live session on the day of the event** Your live session does **not start automatically** based on the date and time configured in the inwink back office when the session was created. Even when the countdown has finished, you must manually start the broadcast by clicking **"Go live"**.  At any time during the live session, you can also pause the broadcast. During the pause, participants see the waiting screen. On the organizer side, the video recorded from the beginning of the live session up to the moment it is paused is automatically added to the session’s list of recordings. You can then resume the live session whenever you want. --- ### **What happens after my live session?** The replay of your session is automatically generated once you end the live session. You can retrieve it from: - the **inwink back office**, by editing your session and going to the **"Video file"** field. download an **Excel export** containing participant details - view and export responses to the different interactions used during the session - view an attendance graph showing how the number of connected participants evolved throughout the live session This gives you an overview of your session’s performance and the engagement generated during your live session.  -
