Allow participants to upgrade their status via the ticketing system

Offer your participants upgrade products so they can change their participant category after registering.

🎯 Objective

This feature allows you to offer participants an upgrade product to change their status.

Thanks to the “Named badge – upgrade” pricing, you can sell specific access levels (VIP, premium, etc.) while automatically updating the participant’s profile.


⚙️ Setup

1. Create the upgrade pricing

  • Go to your event back office, open the Sales > Pricing tab, and create a new pricing type: “Named badge – upgrade”.

     

  • Select the participant category to apply for this pricing.
    👉 Example: VIP

  • Change the publication status of this pricing to “Published” so it appears in your ticketing system.


2. Add the product to your ticketing page

  • Add this pricing to your ticketing system as an additional product in the participant form:

💡 This product is added on top of what the participant has already purchased.
Both prices will then appear in the order summary: the initial price and the upgrade price.

Once the order is confirmed: the selected category (e.g., VIP) is automatically applied to the participant.

 

You can also find this product in your personal account, under the "My Orders" tab.
